Chicago history: the death of Agnes Crowe
On February 16, 1925, 28-year-old
Agnes Crowe
died in Chicago's West Side Hospital from a criminal abortion performed that day.
The coroner indicated that a female midwife was responsible for Agnes' death, but did not name the guilty party.
