I don't understand how there can be so many websites advertising beautiful Russian brides for foreigners and none for beautiful Russian babies for adoption/sale.
If they are carrying the babies till 6 months - whats the point in not waiting till they give birth naturally as there is a huge market of white women in Western countries who will buy their babies.
Christina, why are there no adoption agencies there?
There are adoption agencies in Russia -- friends of mine have adopted a Russian child; I think he was about 13 months old when they got him. There was quite a hassle to get him, and apparently many couples who adopt from other countries also run into a lot of problems with international adoptions. I don't know all the details, but I know that it was not unusual for adoptive couples to go through all the paperwork, travel to the country a few times (or stay for several weeks) and do everything required of them, and then appear before the judge, only to be turned down or delayed with some red tape.
It's chilling. I hope they broadcast it on tv.
