Today, May 2, is the anniversary of a safe-and-legal abortion death.
Twenty-nine-year-old Kathleen Gilbert underwent an abortion at Women's Aid Clinic. She was sent home with a perforated uterus. She bled and passed clots for a month before finally bleeding to death on May 2, 1985.
