Women getting more violent

I just found an interesting snippet in an article at Crime Library.

Since 1970, there has been an increasing and alarming rise 138 percent of violent crimes committed by women.

Lessee, states start loosening abortion laws in 1968. A social movement is established that embraces killing fetuses as a woman's most basic right. New York and California give the coasts abortion-on-demand in 1970. Roe in 1973. What could have been happening that is giving women a message that violence is acceptable? Hm....
