"Women would completely lose the right to choose," said Amanda Kreps-Long, director of the Reproductive Freedom Project of the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky.
Only if they're choosing a dead baby. They are allowed to choose something other than abortion, aren't they?
And while the number of legal restrictions has climbed, the number of abortions in the state has plummeted.

The procedure is available only in Lexington and Louisville. It is available only in the first two trimesters, and many Kentucky women must travel for hours to get one.
Gosh, how can women cope, with abortion "available only in the first two trimesters"! No third-trimester abortions, forsooth!
"We have some of the most stringent abortion laws in the country," said Ginny Copenhefer, a former lobbyist for the Kentucky Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.
No kidding! Banning post-viability abortions! The nerve of some people! Not only is there a dead-fetus shortage, the state's entire stockpile of dead third-trimester fetuses has been depleted! How can the economy adjust? Will jobs have to be outsourced to more enlightened states, like New York, that have sufficient raw fetal materials?
Some people need to get a life. Then maybe they can let other people have lives.
