I would like to make this statement somewhere where I know I'm not going to get flamed for it (unless we have breeder trolls here):Given the choice between saving my pet from a fire and saving some stranger's baby, you bet I'm going to save my pet.This does not make me a bad person, it simply means random children are worth less to me than my beloved animal.
I wonder if they'd think that other people were still "good people" if they walked past them to save a bowl of goldfish from a house fire.
