At least they weren't lied to by evil CPCs.....

Gwendolyn Cliett, age 29, was about to undergo an elective abortion and tubal ligation at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia on March 5, 1980. She was 8 to 10 weeks pregnant. Before the proecdure could be done, Gwendolen reacted to the anesthesia and died. (Pennsylvania Death Certificate # 029586)

Thirty-eight-year-old Ellen Williams went to Dadeland Family Planning for an abortion on March 2, 1985. Ellen returned to Dadeland reporting severe pain and high fever. The clinic owner, Betty Eason, gave Ellen some tea and summoned Chartoor Singh, who had done Ellen's abortion.

Four hours later Singh arrived and had Nabil Ghali help him perform a second D&C on Ellen. They then gave her a prescription for antibiotics and sent her home.

Ellen's pain and fever were so bad the next day that she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. She quickly died of sepsis from a perforated uterus and bowel, leaving two children motherless. Hear that sound? No? Because there is no sound. It's the deafening silence of the champions of "women's lives". They're too busy participating in a hoax about a CPC in Indianapolis to notice whether or not women who walk into abortion facilities live or die.

Gwen's baby died. Ellen's baby died. For the abortion lobby, that's victory. As for the fates of women like Gwen and Ellen... I'll let prochoice activist Janis Compton-Carr speak for herself and others like her:
In my gut, I am completely aghast at what goes on at that place [Dadeland]. But I staunchly oppose anything that would correct this situation in law.
