Pregnant woman dies attempting to flee forced abortion
Li Shimei, 7 months pregnant, was seized by her home by officials who took her to a hospital for a forced abortion. Breaking away and running, Li fell from the second floor of the hospital.
Li was to be aborted against her will because she and her husband already had a child. This second pregnancy was not authorized by the state.
