"I could endure another rape...but not another abortion!"
I nearly ended up aborting my son because I'd been taught that "poor women need abortions." This woman suffered horribly because she'd been taught "rape victims need abortions."
Words have power. Presenting abortion as palliative pushes women toward it. Some of us are pulled back from the brink -- thank God! -- but others aren't so fortunate.
