THIS is why abstinence education isn't as effective as it could be

“Healthy, Happy and Hot” and Horrible at the United Nations

When Planned Parenthood and the Girl Scouts are hypersexualizing pre-teens by calling them "hot" (and encouraging them to think of themselves as "hot"), and telling girls in essence that they won't be happy or healthy unless they put out, well DUH!

  1. Abstinence is a very good PRIMARY method of birth-control. When used perfectly, its failure rate is almost nil.

But very few people use it perfectly. Its TYPICAL-use failure rate is unacceptably high.

If you're gonna use abstinence, you need a BACKUP method for when your abstinence fails.
