Back in the Days of Responsbile Journalism

Looking for more information on the death of Carole Wingo in Detroit, 1974, I found an expose done by the Detroit Free Press, highlighting dangerous practices such as kickback scams, performing abortions on women who aren't actually pregnant, and a non-physician felon performing abortions all in evidently legal abortion clinics and hospitals.

How I wish journalists still took women's abortion safety seriously. Kermit Gosnell might have been stopped before he killed Semika Shaw and Karnamaya Mongar.
