October 12, 1939: Death at Harlem Hospital

According to New York death records, on October 12, 1939, Mary Griffin Hunt, age 36, died at Harlem Hospital in New York. Her death was attributed to "suppurative endometritis, thrombo-phlebitis of ovarian veins, and pyemia from a criminal abortion." 

Born July 5, 1903 to Arthur and Viola Griffin, she left behind her husband, Felix, and a son, Joseph. She was buried at Silver Mountain Cemetery.
