December 16, 1937: Self-Induced in Queens

According to New York death records, 17-year-old Italian immigrant Anna Giordano Hunn died at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn on December 16, 1937. 

The young homemaker's cause of death was septic endometritis following self-induced abortion.
