Another reminder of how good the cream of the crop is

Tami Suematsu, age 19, died after 1988 abortion by Vern Wagner at Riverside Family Planning Center. Riverside is a Family Planning Associates Medical Group (FPA) facility and a member of the National Abortion Federation. Tami, who had a history of asthma, underwent her abortion on August 19, 1988. After the surgery, she went into an asthma attack that led to respiratory failure, which resulted in cardiac arrest. She was transported to a local hospital and died shortly after arriving.

The following women and girls also died after abortions at the Family Planning Associates chain of abortion facilities:
  • Thirteen-year-old Deanna Bell
  • Twenty-two-year-old Chanelle Bryant
  • Seventeen-year-old Laniece Dorsey
  • Sixteen-year-old Patricia Chacon
  • Kimberly Neil
  • Forty-three-year-old Mary Pena
  • Thirty-year-old Susan Levy
  • Thirty-seven-year-old Josefina Garcia
  • Thirty-two-year-old Joyce Ortenzio
  • Eighteen-year-old Christine Mora

FPA had been permitted to join NAF even though 24-four-year-old Denise Holmes had already died under their care.
