NAF versus Brigham: What aren't they telling us?

Pro-aborts finally forced to acknowledge notorious quack bottom-feeding abortionists:

According to the Associated Press:
“[Brigham's] record is the most egregious one I know of in the field,” said Vicki Saporta, president of the National Abortion Federation, an association of abortion providers, which has been warning authorities about Brigham’s practices since the mid-1990s.

First of all, NAF high-mucky-muck Michael Burnhill defended Brigham when the New Jersey medical board tried to yank his license in the 1990s. I've pondered in the past why NAF and PP (who originally recruited Brigham as an abortionist) suddenly declared Brigham dead to them.

One more time, with feeling:

"His record is the most egregious one I know of in the field," said Vicki Saporta, president of the National Abortion Federation ....

That's saying a LOT!

During a National Abortion Federation Risk Management Seminar, one attendee admitted that when he did to a patient what Riley did to hers -- pull bowel into the vagina through a hole in the uterus -- he'd just stuff the bowel back in through the hole, administer extra medications to contract the uterus, watch her a bit more carefully in recovery, and send her home none the wiser. Moderator Michael Burnhill (who defended Brigham) chewed the guy out, he asked for a show of hands for how many did this. SIX raised their hands after Burnhill had chewed the first one out. Brigham at least stuffed his patient into her clothes, carried her to a rental car, and dumped her at an emergency room. Hardly exemplary behavior -- until you compare him to his NAF fellows.

Can he really be worse than these NAF providers?

  • NAF member Hanan Rotem, who killed Gloria Aponte, had his receptionist administering general anesthesia. What has Brigham done that's more egregious than that?

  • NAF member Steve Lichtenberg, who killed 13-year-old Deanna Bell, was chewed out by a moderator at a NAF Risk Management Seminar for "playing Russian roulette" with patients' lives by doing risky abortions in an outpatient setting and treating the complications in his procedure room for the thrill of it rather than transferring gravely injured patients to a properly-equipped hospital. What has Brigham done that's more egregious than that?

  • Edward Allred, founder and then-owner of the NAF flagship Family Planning Associates Medical Group, which owned the clinic where Deanna died, admitted that in the dozen patient deaths in his clinics, he'd never done a preventability study to find out what went wrong and keep it from happening again. What has Brigham done that's more egregious than that?

  • Hector Zavalos, at NAF member Hope Clinic for Women, sent Barbaralee Davis home to die with the face and spine of her fetus embedded in a tear in her uterus. What has Brigham done that's more egregious than that?

  • NAF member Abu Hayat, best known for ripping the arm off a 32-week fetus who was subsequently born alive, fatally botched an abortion on 17-year-old Sophie McCoy, and was reported to the medical board for endangering and sexually abusing his patients. What has Brigham done that's more egregious than that?

  • NAF member Atlanta Surgi-Center, in the wake of the death of Catherine Pierce, was cited for for administering "the same anesthesia dosages" to patients whose weights ranges from 107 to 167 pounds, inadequate record keeping, and inadequate supervision of patients. What has Brigham done that's more egregious than that?

  • NAF member Atlanta Women's Pavillion managed to fatally injure 19-year-old Angela Scott and 14-year-old Delores Smith in less than an hour. Delores' mother later sued, saying that her daughter's pregnancy test performed by the clinic had come back negative prior to them initiating the fatal abortion. What has Brigham done that's more egregious than that?

Now, what do they know of that Steve Brigham has done that's worse than any of these? Or is it that they're hoping that they can focus attention on Steve Brigham so nobody will question what saints they supposedly are? These people whose champion, Michael Burnhill, had defended Brigham and helped him get his license back?

    PS: IRONY ALERT!

    Check this out!

BALTIMORE (AP) -- In a Sept. 9 story about an abortion doctor, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the Guttmacher Institute said the abortion business can be lucrative. The Guttmacher Institute provided costs for abortions but did not say the business could be lucrative.

No, I don't imagine the AGI said that. It was Brigham, in his job posting for aspiring abortionists:

Lucrative opportunity for Physician with progressive pro-choice women’s centers. No on-call responsibility. Any specialty will be considered. All MDs/ODs welcome (including GPs, FMGs and residents). No experience necessary, we will train. Flexible Schedules to accommodate your needs. Great opportunity for MDs in private practice who wish to supplement their incomes, or for doctors seeking a Full-time lucrative opportunity.
