State suspends Lathrup Village abortion clinic license after failed health inspection

According to the Michigan Attorney General’s Office, the state has suspended the license of a local clinic where abortions are performed after authorities discovered several health code violations. .... According to a document sent to the facility by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the center failed to maintain a sterile facility and inform a patient of risks, consent or complications of a procedure. Workers allegedly were performing charting improperly, and did not have adequate supplies and tools, among other things.

Jacob Kalo

Dr. Jacob Kalo owns the facility. He has an unsavory history. He was investigated in 1998 after two patients reported sexual abuse. The first patient said he groped her breast during the counseling session,  then when she was in the stirrups for her abortion he performed oral sex on her. She was unable to move or protest because she had been paralyzed by drugs Kalo had injected.

When a police officer interviewed staff at the clinic, one assistant said that a female employee would be in the room during the procedure -- but also that Kalo would go into the room with the patient first and would press a buzzer to summon the assistant when he was ready for her to come into the procedure room. Several days later, when interviewed at the police station, this employee stated that Kalo was "rarely" alone in the room with a patient.

Kalo admitted to manipulating the patient's breast, but claimed that he only did it because he was unable to determine by ultrasound if the patient was pregnant, so he was checking her breast to see if it showed signs of being stimulated by pregnancy hormones. He denied licking the patient's genitals but said that he often sniffed the patient's vagina to smell for signs of infection.

During the investigation another patient came forward with allegations that while she was on the procedure table the female assistant left the room and Kalo began rubbing her clitoris with his fingers. She sat up and told him to stop. The female assistant returned to the room. Kalo insisted that he had merely been cleaning the patient's genitals. The patient was so outraged and distressed that she immediately dressed and refused to lay back down.

Kalo was never arrested because authorities dismissed the women's complaints as being due to being under the influence of medications and being confused about the nature of the acts being performed by Kalo. Though it is difficult to understand how sexually experienced women could possibly be unable to distinguish between gynecological care and sexual activity.

Here's a question that's never been adequately answered: Abortion-rights group devote massive efforts to investigating prolife pregnancy centers and demanding that state authorities watch them like a hawk. Why do they have no interest in keeping a close eye on abortion facilities where patients are sexually abused? Whose interests are they really protecting?

Rapey Patel Faces Allegations from Former Employees

Recently I blogged about abortion doctor Naresh Patel after KATV Arkansas reported about his arrest for lying to patients by telling them they're pregnant when they're not then charging them $620 for abortion drugs.

Well, News OK is doing some actual journalism, looking into Patel's past. And what did they find? Employees suing him for sexual harassment.

In one recent lawsuit, former employee Kim Hauser, who had been hired by Patel in November of 2012 as a receptionist for a Holiday Inn he owned, came forward. She said that Patel made her work at his abortion clinic, performing the duties of a surgical technician and of a nurse. She also reported that he had frequently pressed her for sexual favors, and when she refused he made her perform disturbing tasks such as bagging up aborted fetuses.


Ms. Hauser said she needed the job to provide for her children. She finally quit in May of 2013, she told a judge, after Patel tried to rape her.

Another former employee, Tami Amsler, also filed suit against Patel, and accepted a confidential settlement. She, like Ms. Hauser, said that she'd begun working for Patel at one of his hotels, in her case the Staybridge Suites. She began working for him in January of 2013 and quit on March 15, 2013, because, she said, Patel “incessantly and inappropriately propositioned” her for sexual favors and engaged in sexually aggressive behaviors such grabbing her breasts. Her lawyer says that he has text messages from Patel that substantiate her allegations.

Each woman separately alleges that Patel offered her money in exchange for "marrying" a foreigner.

Patel's treatment of his employees, however, seems almost chivalrous in comparison to what his patients have reported.

In 1993, three of Patel's patients came forward reporting that he had raped them. Patient #1 was groggy, recovering from her abortion, when Patel put his penis in her mouth. Patient #2 was groggy from sedation for her abortion when Patel raped her orally, vaginally, and rectally. Patient #3 reported that he had raped her vaginally when she was on the procedure table. Somehow, in spite of ample evidence, including taped phone conversations in which Patel admitted to putting his penis in Patient #1's mouth, he was acquitted.

Patel's bad behavior, moreover, hasn't been limited to fraud, sexual harassment, and sexual assault.

In 1995, a patient sued him for putting a 6 cm. tear in her cervix and being unable to treat her for this injury because he had no hospital admitting privileges. Another patient sued him in 1994 after he had mangled her uterus and refused to call an ambulance until her family members demanded that he do so; she required an immediate hysterectomy to save her life. Another patient sued in 1994 when she began bleeding and expelling fetal parts after he'd discharged her from his clinic.

In 1992 he admitted to burning a bag of 60 aborted fetuses in an open field.

In 1990 he was reprimanded for disemboweling a 15-year-old abortion patient. His medical assistant saw him "pull out some tissue and take it in his hands." She then testified that Patel said, "That's her small intestine" before stuffing it back inside. The teen was rushed to a hospital, where surgeons found a hole in her uterus and a fetus floating in blood in her abdomen. She needed to have her fallopian tubes, ovaries, and portion of her colon removed due to injuries.

In 2013 Patel also disposed of confidential patient information in a dumpster, including patient consent forms,  financial information, and abortion documentation. He also dumped job applications that had personal information about the applicants. As if that's not enough, he also disposed of  biohazardous materials in the dumpster.

How many Patels and Gosnels must there be before pro choice Americans start to recognize that the abortion lobby protects the interests of abortion business, not the interests of the women who entrust their bodies and their lives to those people?

Parental involvement won't fix this

Stepfather sexually abuses 13-year-old girl, gets her pregnant, and with the help of Planned Parenthood arranges a 22-week abortion for her at a hospital. She is sent home with her abuser for seven more months of abuse.

Proposition 4 could do nothing about this case, since, after all, a family member was very much aware of the pregnancy and the abortion. This was a job for mandatory reporting. Which, of course, both Planned Parenthood and San Francisco General Hospital failed to do.

Why they are not charged as accessories after the fact I do not know.

Well, yes, I do. It's California, where the only bad abortion is one that doesn't take place, and the only bad sex is sex that results in a baby.

A pervert abortionist and a fatal tubal ligation

The family of Gwendolyn L. Ray-Yarbour sued when she died of anesthesia complications pending surgery by George Elliot Kabacy at Lovejoy Surgi-Center in Portland, Oregon. Gwen, age 30, was to undergo a tubal ligation on June 5, 1992. A nurse-anesthetist adminstered the medications. Gwen was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where she was believed to be already "brain-dead", but was monitored overnight. She died during the night. The suit alleged that Kabacy and Lovejoy committed multiple acts of negligence leading to Gwen's death. She was survived by four children, a 4-year-old girl, and boys ages 10, 11, and 12. (Multnomah County Circuit Court, Autopsy Report No. AG-92-00040, death certificate).

Kabacy made headlines much more recently when he pleaded guilty in late 2007 to possessing more than 8,000 images of child pornograophy at his hom in Lacey, Washington. The FBI began investigating Kabacy in September of 2006 after another child pornography suspect, this one in Georgia, gave Kabacy's email address as the source of his material. The Georgia suspect permitted agents to assume his identity to pursue the investigation.

FBI Special Agent Ryan Bruett wrote in an affidavit, "Dr. Kabacy asked me what would happen to him. I responded that if we found any child pornography, he would be placed under arrest."

Kabacy was indicted on charges of possession and advertising child pornography in January of 2007. Prosecutors were pushing for a sentence of five to ten years in prison for the 68-year-old abortionist. Kabacy pleaded guilty to the possession charnge in exchange for dropping a charge of advertising it. In the plea agreement Kabacy admitted that he possessed more than 8,000 digital still images and additional video footage, which court documents say were stored on a laptop computer and 36 compact discs. "Defendant further admits that some of said images depicted sadomasochistic conduct, including bondage or bestiality involving minors. "Defendant further admits that some of said images depicted pre- pubescent minors and/or minors under the age of 12 years," according to court papers.

Kabacy's attorney, Neil Fox, issued a written statement that Kabacy regretted and apologized for his conduct, and elected not to contest the charges "because of his deep remorse and shame for the dishonor that he has brought upon himself and his family."

Kabacy worked at Lovejoy Surgi-Center and Planned Parenthood of the Columbia- Willamette in Oregon (both National Abortion Federation members), and, up until his arrest, at Sound Choice Health Center in Olympia, Washington. Kabacy was sued for one other patient death. The family of Tamara L. Willis alleged that Kabacy failed to send tissue to a pathology lab on March 21, 1988, resulting in the failure to diagnose her malignant melanoma. Tamara was hospitalized September 8 through October 25 for chemotherapy, multiple bone marrow aspirations, and repeated x-rays and scans. She was hospitalized again on Christmas of that yar, and suffered blindness, headache, weaknes, vomiting, pain, and finally coma before finally dying on January 28, 1989. Stepfather repeatedly abuses girls for four years. Mom goes to prison for allowing it to go on. The abortionist who vacuumed one of the girls out -- when she was only 11 years old -- gets a pass from the Medical Board.

The Kansas State Board of Healing Arts closed an investigation of abortionist Sherman Zaremski, finding that he did not violate the state’s Healing Arts Act even though overwhelming evidence exists that he concealed an incident of child rape that allowed a young girl’s abuser, Robert Estrada, to continue his attacks on her and her sister for an additional four years.

The Board had access to court documents, medical records, and even news reports that clearly showed Zaremski never reported the 11-year old child’s pregnancy and abortion, as required by law.

What I want to know is whether this scumbag abortionist is being prosecuted for having allowed this to go on, and what other medical professionals knew about the repeated pregnancies but failed to report it. I'm just an EMT, and I'm required to report suspected child sexual abuse. If I pulled a pregnant underage girl out of a car wreck, I could lose my EMT certification if I didn't report the pregnancy to Child Protective Services so they could investigate. Why am I held to a higher standard than a physician?

Massachusetts abortionists covering up for sex abusers

Massachusetts Becomes Latest State With Abortion-Sex Abuse Coverup

In this latest case, a grand jury in Middlesex indicted 51-year-old Steven Infante of New Milford, Connecticut on various charges of rape and assault and battery.

Infante appeared in Middlesex Superior Court on Wednesday and was released after pleading not guilty to the charges.

Prosecutors say Infante had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl that began at that early age and continued until she was 21. When she turned 17, the girl became pregnant and Infante drove her to a local abortion business, according to court records.

He is also accused of sexually molesting a second teenage girl.

In May, the employee of an abortion facility in Connecticut issued a guilty plea in a case involving the sexual abuse of three teenage girls.

Former modeling agency owner Michael Britt, who worked as a janitor at the abortion center, was accused of sexually assaulting three teenagers from Norwalk who went to his modeling agency.

He took a 14 year-old to the Summit Women's Center abortion facility, where he worked and which was located in the same building as his agency.

The Britt case followed just weeks after another abortion-sexual abuse case prompted observers to wonder why abortion facilities are not contacting authorities about the actions.

Kevon Walker, 22, was charged earlier this month with getting his then 14 year-old girlfriend pregnant. He got the unnamed girl pregnant three times in six months and the girl wound up having three abortions as a result.

However, abortion businesses failed to report the statutory rape to authorities and officials only began investigating Walker's actions when the victim's mother contacted them.

But the abortion was carried out, so the outcome is happy, right?

Pro-Aborts Poster Child Was More Than Just A Victim

Remember Rosita; the poor 9 year old that was raped in Costa Rica and impregnated? Well, it turns out she was just a pawn for the pro-aborts cause. First: The Pro-Aborts helped the family out of Costa Rica even though there was a criminal investigation against Rosita’s stepfather. Second: Her rapist was her stepfather - the man they helped escape the investigation. Third: She wasn’t 9 but a couple years older and the Pro-Aborts knew it because neighbors of the family told them she wasn’t 9. Fourth: Rosita now has an 18 month old baby and her stepfather is the father. Go here, here, and here for the story.

This is why I make such a strong distinction between rank-and-file prochoicers and the abortion lobby. I think most prochoice citizens would agree that this was an appalling way to treat that child. But to the abortion lobby, all that matters is a PR coup. Not truth, not justice, and certainly not this child's well-being.

Mississippi Court Rules Against Mother Using Abortion to Cover Up Incest

The Mississippi Supreme Court has ruled against a woman who tried to use abortion as a way to cover up her husbands crime of incest against the couple's 13 year-old daughter. The woman tried to use the state's parental consent on abortion law as a defense in her case, but court's ruled otherwise.
In 2004, Charlotte Sherron was sentenced to three years in prison and two years of post-release supervision for trying go hide her husband's crime of statutory rape. She took her daughter to an abortion facility after her daughter became pregnant from the incest.

This is why pregnant underage girls need to have their cases examined by child welfare, not swept under the rug by abortion facilities.

Though I'd like to know how the scumbag parents got caught.
