Baby Jessica
Nobody asked if her family could afford her.
Nobody asked if she'd only end up being disabled.
Nobody asked if she had good enough parents.
Nobody asked what her quality of life was going to be.
Nobody asked, "Is it worth the money we're spending?"
Nobody asked, "Is it worth all the time and trouble?"
She was a baby. She needed us. And that was all that mattered.
If only that was all that ever mattered.
