i guess we should stop letting people undergo any kind of surgery seeing as there is ALWAYS a risk with any type of operation. we should probably just outlaw surgery in general because people have died because of complications. get a brain.

Anon, I have no patience for baby-haters right now, just having come from reading a Trig-bashing Leftist blog. Come back about a week after the election, when I've had time to cool down.

if all you do is spend your time reading peoples' blogs who are as close-minded and misled as you, i can fully understand not wanting to listen to rational thought. good luck with that. people who spend their time "bashing" a baby on a blog are not people who are pro-choice, they're people who are sick in the head, much like those who want to take away a woman's right to her own body. but good, blind yourself further by pretending like they have anything to do with the pro-choice movement. this is too easy.

Frida, I make a pretty strong distinction between prochoice citizens and the abortion lobby, which is something you'll notice if you frequent the blog at all.

I realize that the haters aren't typical; they're just the most outspoken. And right now I'm finding them very demoralizing, especially when we're facing the possibility of an Obama presidency in which people like Trig Palin will be denied more and more medical care with each passing year until the only "medical care" they're eligible for is life support after a head injury to keep them stable until their organs can be harvested for "more worthy" people.

i give up. the only reason special needs children are even being mentioned by mccain is because sarah palin has so little to offer that they have to make her personal life her public life. they don't even agree themselves on the issue! do you honestly think that if she didn't have a child who had down syndrome they would mention it at all? they're trying to use him to distract people from other issues, and clearly it is working.

Hillary already tried to bring us Hillary Care, which would have denied things like dialysis and open-heart surgery to the developmentally disabled on the grounds that they just didn't have a high enough "quality of life" in the first place. And Obama is even colder-hearted than Hillary, who could at least find it in her heart to say yes, we need to provide care to babies that survive abortions. Obama wants them wrapped in a towel and stuck in a closet to die.

Neither of them is a paragon of compassion to disabled kids. Whereas Sarah Palin is a member of FFL, an organization with a strong history of lobbying for care for the disabled.

feminists for life is an oxymoron in the first place. taking a choice away from a woman who you don't even know has nothing to do with being a feminist. obama and biden both support fully funding IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), the same IDEA that john mccain consistently voted against, most recently last year. but that's ok, ignore the facts and buy into the bullshit. what do disabled children have to do with abortion again? oh, that's right, nothing.

Frida, I don't agree with the abortion advocacy preposition that dead babies are good for women. And I recognize that there ARE women who are very slutty, that hate babies, and that really do have the "will kill for sex" attitude that you espouse. But I think better of MOST women. I don't think they're all murdering sluts. And you're not going to convince me that they are.
