Understanding the articulate

My daughter was doing some work for me on my laptop while I was off at work.

I came home and took my laptop back. She had a number of windows open.

Without much thought, I said to her, "Are you you or is this me?"

She knew I wanted to know which of us it was that was signed in to Hotmail.

It's wonderful to have somebody you can communicate with like that. Like the time she was driving and I spotted road construction ahead and called out, "Aaah! Ba doo doo doo!" and she said, "I saw the flagman. I'm slowing down."
