You are way behind. Undergraduates have been having abortion parties for many years now. I recall going to one in Pittsburgh in the late 1990s.
And SegaMon, you are absolutely right. Women don't get abortions in order to avoid late pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood when they don't want them; they do it because it makes them feel "equal" to men.
"Der witzigste bist du unter den Weisen: wer käm' dir an Klugheit gleich?"
SOMG: "Women don't get abortions in order to avoid late pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood when they don't want them"
I do not appreciate the sarcasm. I am referring to a culture shift that would allow abortions to become a cultural norm. It is not necessarily a statement about any specific individual's "choice" to terminate an unwanted unborn child.
SegaMon, what you actually WROTE was "Abortion has been the way some women try to be "equal" to men." That's about what motivates SOME WOMEN to choose abortion, not about cultural norms.
Long time no response from me. OperationCounterstrike: I admit that I chose the wrong words. I poorly tried to say that extreme feminism has lead to actions and a mindset that try to become "masculine" in attempt to be "equal" to men. Extreme Feminism.
Lilliput: I grew up in a society and family who did not accept abortion/infanticide as a cultural norm. Or... so I thought?
You will probably never see this response though. I was on vacation. :)

As I say ...
... Try to tell me again that there's no such thing as being "pro-abortion" and that they're all just "pro-choice."
A party decorated like a womb? This article turned my stomach.
God have mercy on their twisted souls.
It was exceptionally telling when the article mentioned pro-choice women acting exactly like men.
Abortion has been the way some women try to be "equal" to men.
Indeed may God have mercy on them... it's such a sad part of our culture to have this happen as an acceptable event.

Too many SegaMon games, maybe....
Segamon, when has abortion/infanticide not been a cultural norm. I know it was illegal and immoral but when has it ever not been part of the norm?
