The family accused Turow of performing an incomplete abortion, lacerating Kathleen's uterus, and failing to detect her injuries. She was sent home and continued to bleed and pass clots for a month before her death on May 2, 1985.
Kathleen's death certificate attributes the death to hemorrhage from a perforated uterus.

There is no reason why someone should die of slow bleeding a MONTH after a procedure. Gives you an idea of how important follow-up care is to this "doctor."
Ginkgo100, you obviously have never practiced gyn. Light bleeding and clots for several weeks after a d&c (or for that matter all by themselves without a d&c) are very common and do not by themselves indicate a serious problem.
