The standoff at the Discovery Communications building in downtown Silver Spring ended Wednesday afternoon when authorities shot and killed the suspect holding three hostages, bringing a dramatic close to a tense situation four hours after it began, according to police and law enforcement sources.
This abortion and birth control enthusiast, population alarmist, and environmentalist extremist published an online manifesto making such demands as:
1. .... Focus must be given on how people can live WITHOUT giving birth to more filthy human children since those new additions continue pollution and are pollution. ....
2. All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. In those programs' places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it.
3. .... Also, keep out the fraudulent peace movements. They are liars and fakes and had no real intention of ending the wars. ALL OF THEM ARE FAKE! On one hand, they claim they want the wars to end, on the other, they are demanding the human population increase. ....
4. Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is. That, and all its disgusting religious-cultural roots and greed.
Broadcast this message until the pollution in the planet is reversed and the human population goes down! This
is your obligation. If you think it isn't, then get hell off the planet! ....
5. Immigration: Programs must be developed to find solutions to stopping ALL immigration pollution and the anchor baby filth that follows that. .... Find solutions FOR these countries so they stop sending their breeding populations to the US and the world to seek jobs and therefore breed more unwanted pollution babies. FIND SOLUTIONS FOR THEM TO STOP THEIR HUMAN GROWTH AND THE EXPORTATION OF THAT DISGUSTING FILTH! (The first world is feeding the population growth of the Third World and those human families are going to where the food is! They must stop procreating new humans looking for nonexistant jobs!)
6. Find solutions for Global Warming [etc.]. Find ways so that people don't build more housing pollution which destroys the
environment to make way for more human filth! Find solutions so that people stop breeding as well as stopping using Oil in order to REVERSE Global warming and the destruction of the planet!
7. Develop shows that mention the Malthusian sciences about how food production leads to the overpopulation of the Human race. ....
8. Saving the Planet means saving what's left of the non-human Wildlife by decreasing the Human population. That means stopping the human race from breeding any more disgusting human babies! ....
....
10. Stop all shows glorifying human birthing on all your channels and on TLC. ....
Humans are the most destructive, filthy, pollutive creatures around and are wrecking what's left of the planet with their false morals and breeding culture.
For every human born, ACRES of wildlife forests must be turned into farmland in order to feed that new addition over the course of 60 to 100 YEARS of that new human's lifespan! THIS IS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE FOREST CREATURES!!!! All human procreation and farming must cease!
It is the responsiblity of everyone to preserve the planet they live on by not breeding any more children who will continue their filthy practices. Children represent FUTURE catastrophic pollution whereas their parents are current pollution. NO MORE BABIES! ....
....
The world needs TV shows that DEVELOP solutions to the problems that humans are causing, not stupify the people into destroying the world. Not encouraging them to breed more environmentally harmful humans.
....
The humans? The planet does not need humans.
....
Now, I am not saying for one moment that this nutjob's rantings are typical of supporters of birth control and legal abortion. But they are in keeping with the thinking espoused by population controllers, whose home is, of course, among supporters of birth control and abortion. I'm talking about people such as late-term abortionist Warren Hern, who espouses abortion because he considers human beings to be a cancer. And he's not alone.
The question is, how will the media cover this? Will they point out that there is a connection between the "reproductive rights" movement and radical population alarmists? Or will they treat this guy like a total lone kook? You can tell by the headline, that doesn't mention his population-control manifesto, that they're likely to go the "lone kook" route.
UPDATE: Fox News chimed in with this:
A man known for protesting the Discovery Channel's environmental programming stormed the network's Maryland headquarters carrying a handgun on Wednesday, holding three people hostage for hours until he was shot and killed by police, according to authorities.
This makes it sound as if the man opposed environmentalism, rather than espoused an extreme form of it! He protested their pro-baby programming, not their environmental programming!
Though I'll credit the Fox News coverage with later noting, "Lee reportedly said he began working to save the planet after being laid off from his job in San Diego. He said he was inspired by "Ishmael," a novel by environmentalist Daniel Quinn and by former Vice President Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth.""

They'll probably go the 'lone kook' route. After all, if it's good enough for the god-smitten and anti-choicers to do so when their people shoot and bomb, why not.
Thank you for the timely update on the "reasoning" behind this tragedy.
"Abortion enthusiast"? He was an enviro-kook, like the unabomber, not a pro-choicer. Abortion-rights weren't even ONE of his causes.
Why can't it just be an episode of mental illness? Like when an anti abortionist kills an abortion doctor?
According to a local pro-life group, a man they believe to be James Lee was videoed at one or more of their pro-life protests, very much promoting abortion.
OC, he ranted about how wonderful abortion is. He sounded pretty enthusiastic about it.
YES, he was a kook, but he only deviated from people like Warren Hern in his willingness to kill the born as well as the unborn. The idea of human beings as filthy, disgusting vermin that should be eliminated from the earth is one that Hern was spouting at a NAF session to an audience of like-minded people who applauded him heartily.
