Teen girl killed by abuser for refusing abortion

Star-Telegram | 03/03/2006 | Cellmate testifies defendant told of killing girl, 15
A 33-year-old man who pleaded guilty this week to killing a 15-year-old Timberview High School student told two Tarrant County jail inmates that he killed her because a test revealed that she was pregnant and she refused to get an abortion.

Ronald M. Hill faces 15 to 99 years in prison for the murder of Ingrid Smith, who was found dead inside her south Arlington home March 15.

.... [Witnesses] testified that Hill told them at different times that he visited Smith's home early March 15 to have her take a home pregnancy test t.... He told the [them] that the test results were positive and that Hill and Smith argued over whether she should have an abortion, the [witnesses] said.

'He said he told her that she can't be pregnant because he had a wife and four kids,' Gibson said. 'She just told him that she was.'
