Collateral damage

160 Healthy Babies Lost for Every 50 Down’s Cases Detected with Amniocentesis

The war on children with Down Syndrome isn't just destroying its target. Are these kids really such monsters that we're willing as a society to destroy three healthy, "normal" kids to weed out just one child with DS?

People who have their panties in a twist over civilian casualties in wartime -- what do you think of the healthy, wanted children who are dying in this war against Down Syndrome? Are they an acceptable price to pay for the long-term good of ridding the world of people like this?

Oh no! It's a shame that genetically perfect kids who should be allowed to live are dying because we have to get rid of those horrible down syndrome babies!

Oh well, it's a small price to pay to live in a world free of genetic imperfections.
