1950: Fatal abortion

On May 26, 1950, Annis Whitlow Brown performed an abortion on Joy M. Joy, the unmarried mother of a six-year-old daughter. Brown botched the job, causing hemorrhage and failing to properly treat the patient. Joy died quickly from blood loss. I have not determined what Brown's profession was.

All the more reason we're better off with safe, legal procedures performed in sterile facilities by professionals who can be trained properly and held accountable for mistakes.

Why don't you explain to me how Jammie Garcia was ever so much better off with a nice, safe, legal abortion. She drowned in her own feculent fluids because her abortionist had shoved her fetus into her bowl and left it there to block things up.

Carolina Gutierrez endured the amputation of her gangrenous limbs in a futile attempt to save her from abortion-related sepsis. I guess this wasn't horrible since her abortion was safe and legal.

Why do you and others like you assume that taking away the threat of prison will make these guys less slovenly in their practices?
