Read "The New Eugenics" by George Neumayr in The American Spectator.
For all our talk of "celebrating diversity," we're certainly not showing any real respect for people who are different. This is an obsession with superficiality taken to lethal extremes. This is defining a human being as disposable because of some condition he or she has, rather than recognizing and celebrating his or her uniqueness.
This is saying that if you have a disability or an illness, you have nothing to offer, nothing to say worth hearing. This is saying that if you're different, we will still your voice before you even have a chance to draw breath.
This is just so wrong.
