Something I think Obama's doing right

Obama to Announce Nuke Plant Loan, Source Says

I don't pretend to understand all the ins and outs, pros and cons, and reasons critics are balking at this specific plan. But I do think that encouraging the construction of new nuclear power plants is a great idea. Properly built, maintained, and operated nuclear power plants will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and provide, safe, clean energy.

I just want there to be people overseeing this to make sure the money isn't given to cronies or idiots.

Well, not really "clean." What do you propose to do with the spent reactor material? Can we bury it in your backyard?

I guess, OC, that you're not aware of things like this.

And pick one identity and stick with it. Are you OC, or Chad Tonka? Because I'm gonna start nuking one or the other.

For the record, I am not OC.

Second, how does linking to a wikipedia article make me "aware" of anything. In fact, it proves my point! To quote:

“The United States has at least 108 sites designated as areas that are contaminated and unusable, sometimes many thousands of acres…DOE wishes to clean or mitigate many or all by 2025, however the task can be difficult and it acknowledges that some may never be completely remediated.”

I guess this says something about your definition of “clean.” If it's so clean, can we bury it in your backyard?

Funny, "Chad", but you only show up to bolster "OC" and second its arguments when it's fighting a losing battle. If you're not the same person, you're certainly joined at the hip.

You know what's really funny? That you keep refuting yourself. I don't see a single post from OC in this thread.

"Fighting a losing battle?!?" Hardly. If anything, you demonstrate very little knowledge about the nature of radioactivity and its effects on surrounding material.

You can keep up these childish antics of claiming OC and I are identical, or you can seriously address the point.
