Ashli's HG story

"When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we may safely conclude that there is something wrong in society - so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is an evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly wronged."
Mattie Brinkerhoff, The Revolution, 4(9):138-9 September 2, 1869

In Ashli's case, both. Nobody gave her information, and nobody gave her the medical care she needed. And it's a sorry excuse to simply say, "Well, she had a choice." You be so sick that you can't even keep water down, that you've lost 14% of your body weight, that you're hallucinating from your body's chemicals being so out of whack from constant vomiting, then tell me that capitulating to despair and desperation is a freely-made "choice".
