Sad illegal anniversary: Second in a string of deaths

On April 15, 1932, Ruth Hall died of suspected abortion complications. Two local physicians, J.W. Elsiminger and Richard E. Thacker were suspects. Ruth's death was the second in a string of seven abortion deaths attributed to Elsiminger and/or Thacker in 1932. They were also blamed in the 1930 abortion death of Marie Epperson.
