September 17, 2003: Planned Parenthood "Medication Abortion" Kills Teen

With abortion, as with anything else, it seems, you need a cute blue-eyed blonde to get the MSM's attention. Thus they noticed when Holly died. 

Holly Patterson, age 18, was a high-achiever. She graduated from Granada High School in Livermore, California in only three years.

When she got pregnant in the early fall of 2003, she only told one person: her boyfriend, Ehsan Bashi. He accompanied her to a Planned Parenthood in Hayward, California on September 10. There, Holly was diagnosed as 7-weeks pregnant and administered the first drug for her abortion: mifepristone. She was sent home with pain medications and the second drug: misoprostol. She was told to self-administer the misoprostol at home the next day and return in a week ton confirm that the abortion had been successful.

The FDA recommended regimen calls for the second drug to be administered between the cheek and gums. However, this can cause nausea and vomiting, so Planned Parenthood instructed women to administer the drug vaginally. 

Three days later, Holly called Planned Parenthood and reported severe abdominal cramping. The person she spoke to told her that this was normal and to take her painkillers. If the symptoms didn't improve, she was told, then she should go to the emergency room.

The following day Holly was still in severe pain and was bleeding heavily. She went to the emergency room at Valley Care Medical Center and told the doctor there about the abortion. That doctor injected her with narcotic pain medications and sent her home.

The narcotics didn't help. On the morning of September 17 -- weak, vomiting, and unable to walk -- Holly returned to the hospital. They admitted her shortly after 9 a.m. and called her father, Monty Patterson, telling him to hurry because his daughter was intensive care. 

This was the first Monty knew about the pregnancy and abortion.

He rushed to the hospital. "Holly was intubated, and I went and held her and said, 'I don't know what happened but I'm here to help, to get you well.' The look in her eyes said, 'Dad, save me.'"

She died shortly before 2 pm, with her father at her side. The cause of death was septic shock from Clostridium sordelli.

Monty told the San Francisco Chronicle, "The medical community treats this as a simple pill you take, as if you're getting rid of a headache. The procedure, the follow-ups, it's all too lackadaisical. The girl gets a pill. Then she's sent home to do the rest on her own. There are just too many things that can go wrong."

Monty wanted to know why Planned Parenthood didn't follow the FDA-recommended regimen. He wanted to know why they sent her to the emergency room instead of to a specially trained doctor who would know how to treat abortion pill complications. He wanted to know why Holly and other women like her weren't given enough information to understand what is and isn't cause for concern in these kinds of abortions. 

Other deaths from abortion pills include "Jayden Roe," Oriane Shevin, Sarah Dunn, "Fawn Roe," Manon Jones, Chanelle Bryant, María Del Valle González López, Vivian Tran, “Wanda Roe,” “Summer Roe,” Amber Thurmond, “Marcie Roe,” “Crystal Roe,” “Mandy Roe,” “Alina Roe,” “Bridget Roe,” “Chelsea Roe,” “Olivia Roe,” “Carmen Roe”, “Belle Roe,” “Corrie Roe,” "Taylor Roe," Brenda Vise, and “Sabrina Roe”.

Other Planned Parenthood deaths include: 

Alexis "Lexi" Arguello, who was 18 years old when she went to the Planned Parenthood in Fort Collins, Colorado. After the abortion, Lexi's blood pressure dropped and her pulse started racing. Planned Parenthood summoned an ambulance but requested that they come without lights and sirens, thus delaying transfer to a fully-equipped hospital. Once there, Lexi was given multiple blood transfusions but eventually bled to death. 

Alyona Dixon, who was 24 years old when she went to a Nevada Planned Parenthood for an abortion. They gave her abortion pills following the retimen that had already killed Holly Patterson nearly twenty years earlier. She, like Holly, died of sepsis. 

Irene Stevenson, who was 24 years old when she went to a Chicago Planned Parenthood. She developed a severe infection that ended her life. 

"Lucy," a 29-year-old woman who went to Planned Parenthood of Georgetown, IL when she was about 7 weeks pregnant. Dr. Amy Caldwell gave her abortion pills on April 5. She was dead before the end of the month.

“Luanne,” a 31-year-old woman who died of complications of a surgical abortion at a Planned Parenthood in Indiana.

Cree Erwin-Sheppard, age 24, who went to Planned Parenthood for a suction abortion and placement of an IUD. Four days later Cree's mother made this heartbreaking 911 call. Her daughter had died from sepsis.

Tonya Reaves, who was 24 years old when she went to a Planned Parenthood in Chicago. After a delay in transferring her to the hospital, she bled to death.

"Ella", who was provided with abortion pills even though it was unsafe to send her home -- her fetus was not in her uterus -- it was in her fallopian tube. She died of a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

Roselle Owens, who was 17 years old when she went to Planned Parenthood's Margaret Sanger Center. It took 20 minutes from the time she started having trouble breathing until emergency services were summoned. She languished in a coma for five months before finally dying.

Bonnie Kay Hunt, who was 44 when she went to an Illinois Planned Parenthood for an abortion. She died from complications.

Edrica Goode, who went to Planned Parenthood in Riverside, California, for a safe, legal abortion. A nurse examined Edrica and found signs that she had a vaginal infection but inserted laminaria sticks anyway. The laminaria led to an infection taking hold so quickly that Edrica wasn't even able to tell her family what was wrong. She died from sepsis.

Hoa Thuy "Vivian" Tran went to Planned Parenthood in Costa Mesa, California, where they gave her the abortion pills. Six days later the 22-year-old woman was dead from sepsis.

Holly Patterson, who was 18 years old when she went to Planned Parenthood in Hayward, California. She was instructed to use abortion drugs in an unapproved manner and died of sepsis. 

Diana Lopez, who was 25 years old and 19 weeks pregnant when she went to a California Planned Parenthood. The doctor rushed through a procedure that should have taken 10 to 20 minutes in only six minutes. She suffered a tear to her uterus and bled to death.

Elise Kalat, who stopped breathing after her abortion at Planned Parenthood of Central Massachusetts. But afterward she suffered a severe asthma attack and stopped breathing. Nobody on staff knew how to perform proper CPR and she ended up dying.

There is no way that these are all of the women who died after entrusting themselves to Planned Parenthood. After all, Planned Parenthood doesn't send me an email after every patient death. How many more deaths are there that I don't know about?
