Chanelle Bryant - the plot thickens

Now that I have Chanelle's name from mainstream sources, I was able to search and find this article about her death in the Los Angeles Lay Catholic Mission.

Chanelle got her abortion drugs at one of "Fast Eddie" Allred's Family Planning Associates Medical Group -- a National Abortion Federation member facility.

Chanelle, a 22-year-old African American from Pasadena, was 9 weeks pregnant with her first child when she went to the FPA facility in Glendale. There was no doctor's name on the coroner's report to indicate who, if anybody, examined her at FPA. She self-administered the vaginal suppository as directed. She developed severe pain and went to the emergency room, where her condition deteriorated. She was transferred to the ICU in the early afternoon and went into cardiac arrest just after 4 PM. She was taken in for exploratory surgery to try to track down and treat her problems, but ten minutes into surgery she suffered another cardiac arrest. She died at 5:51 PM, January 14, 2004.

So we have Holly Patterson, who died after getting her abortion drugs at a Planned Parenthood, and Chanelle Bryant, who died after getting her abortion drugs at a NAF member. These are not fly-by-night, disreputable "abortion mills" where the public might expect women to get substandard care. They are the cream of the crop. Which is a sad reflection on how much the prochoice movement values women's lives.

The following women and girls also died after abortions at the Family Planning Associates chain of abortion facilities:

Thirteen-year-old Deanna Bell
Seventeen-year-old Laniece Dorsey
Sixteen-year-old Patricia Chacon
Kimberly Neil
Forty-three-year-old Mary Pena
Thirty-year-old Susan Levy
Thirty-seven-year-old Josefina Garcia
Nineteen-year-old Tami Suematsu
Thirty-two-year-old Joyce Ortenzio
Eighteen-year-old Christine Mora

FPA had been permitted to join NAF even though 24-four-year-old Denise Holmes had already died under their care.
